NHS Pay Bands Scotland 2021 to 2022 - Band 1 to 9

The government of Scotland is aiming to deliver a single-year pay deal for NHS Scotland for the financial year of 1st April 2021 to 31 March 2022. The Scottish government is committed to overall uplifts for NHS Staff in Scotland

The aim of the Scottish government is to retain the NHS staff and to attract more staff with skill and experience to ensure that Scotland NHS meets the future demands and expectations. 

The following analysis has been made for all the NHS bands in Scotland

  • Band 1 to 4 will receive a pay rise of £1,009
  • Band 5 to 7 will receive a pay rise of 4%
  • Band 8a to 8c will receive a pay rise of 2%
  • Band 8d to 9 will receive a pay rise of £800
