NHS dental charges for pensioners - 2021 to 2022

Dental charges for pensioners are free if you or your spouse receive a Pension Credit Guarantee Credit, Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance, or Universal Credit. Pension Credit Guarantee Credit, is only given to the people who have low income.

What is a Pension Credit Guarantee Credit?

Pension Credit Guarantee Credit is a Guarantee Credit given for the people aged over the state pension age. Pension Credit is given based on your earnings. To claim pension credit you must be state pension age that is you must be 65 and above, this applies to both men and women. 

Do pensioners get free dental treatment on a Universal Credit Card?

A person is entitled to receive Universal Credit if he/she has no income or has a net income of £435 or below that in the previous Universal Credit assessment period

Also, a person can be entitled to Universal Credit Card if you are an element to the child, or you and your partner have limited capability for work and you did not have any income or had net income of £935 or less in your last Universal Credit assessment period.
